THE RESIDENCY
During her time at BAR Basma worked on developing her script for Sea Salt, a fiction short, 15’. Set in a small local resort located on the beach of the Mediterranean sea in Tyre (South of Lebanon), a young waitress is staring with envy at a group of friends, who are jumping from a high rock right into the sea. Out of the group, she later meets a young man, who after a terrifying event in the sea, ends up feeling very close to. Their romantic story comes quickly to an end when he asks her to go away with him. The film is currently in development due to be produced in 2021.
