Nic at BAR
Nicholas Courdy (b.1990) uses the public domain and digital media to explore ideas of compilation aesthetics and silent collaboration. At BAR, Courdy presents his audience with highly imaginative works that create a hybrid of past and present art forms, producing a new contemporary decorative narrative that echo the current social constructions within the digital landscape.
Courdy received his BFA in Fine Art Painting / Drawing from the University of Utah and recently completed a one year residency at the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art which culminated in a solo exhibition. He has exhibited in New York City, London, San Francisco, Lisbon, Hong Kong, Dubai and, most recently, Istanbul.
